My daughter and I had to wait for a graduation at Northrop Auditorium and found this great cute little coffee shop! Loved it, so comfortable and great service, highly recommend!
This has become one of my favorite coffee shops. The best part? I always get the chai with oat milk and it is delicious! I’ve also had their chia pudding and recommend it. The staff is always super kind and I love chatting with them when they’re not too busy. They also offer free water when you walk in and the atmosphere is so cozy, it’s a nice place to sit and get work done or just chat with friends. The worst part? When it gets busy, you will be waiting for your order. They try their best to get through orders but don’t go if you’re in a rush and hit their busy times. This also means they will most likely sell out of a lot of their pastries and bakery items. I was told they change them daily expect for the general items of muffins and what not.
Bordertown Coffee in Minneapolis is a haven for coffee connoisseurs. The extensive menu boasts classic coffee choices, along with an array of tempting teas and tea lattes. My latte experience was nothing short of exceptional—the milk was perfectly prepared, consistently creamy, and adorned with the perfect amount of foam. What sets Bordertown apart is its unique location inside an old house. The ambiance is a delightful blend of history and modern comfort, with inviting tables, plush couches, and tucked-away study nooks. The attention to detail in decor creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall enjoyment of your visit. Bordertown Coffee is not just a coffee shop; it's a destination where every sip and surroundings contribute to a memorable experience. Highly recommended for those seeking both quality beverages and a charming environment.
This is one of the coziest spots in Dinkytown, especially when they get a fire going in the winter. The people working there are wonderful and cool, and the matcha there is the best I’ve ever had. If you’re lucky enough to catch it, grab the chocolate chip espresso scone that they occasionally have on top of the display case. That, or the white chocolate lavender matcha muffin. I know there’s not a ton of space to sit, but it’s easy to come in early some days and curl up in one of the shop’s nooks or crannies and read. The best thing about this place has to be the people. Friendly, goofy, and kind, they’ll not often make a mistake but if they do they’re willing and happy to fix it. I might be biased, but I really like this coffee shop.
Beautiful, rustic, and inviting. This coffee shop is not in some corporate building but rather a renovated old frat house! It has multiple floors, and instead of just one big room like most places, it’s literally a house. You just walk around to the room that’s most cozy to you. It’s more of a closed environment which is unique to most coffee places. The prices are quite economical compared to the surrounding competition. My tomato soup was 3. There are even seasonal and “special” drinks.
Bordertown is my favorite Cafe and is truly a comfort spot for me. They have comfy couches, natural sunlight, plants, and delicious and beautifully made lattes!! Their music playlists are also very chill. The staff are so lovely and I hope they all know how much they make people's day. Having a great day? I gotta come to Bordertown. Having a sad day? Better come to Bordertown. It brings me so much joy to be here in this cute coffee shop. Will continue to come back for my Oat 1/2 Lavender Latte. Love you Bordertown! 3
Cute coffee shop with lots of choices (especially for drinks)! Nice place to catch up with a friend or work.
Bordertown is by far one of my favorite places near the U of M campus. You really have to look for it since it’s in the middle of the block. Love the charm of the building, makes for a great study or work spot if you can find a seat. Drinks are good, tried a seasonal beverage and it did not disappoint. They definitely put care into your order.
